Need a plan for Bonfire Night? The Family Firework Spectacular is on tonight at Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School in Hemel Hempstead: a display set to music, mini-fairground rides for the children, and a hot or cold drink and a biscuit included with every ticket.
The money stays local too. All the profits go to the children of 1st Leverstock Green Scout Group and Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School.

What’s on
- A display set to music. Titanium Fireworks’ trained operators fire the show, choreographed to music. The organisers say it includes fireworks not available to the general public.
- Aerial shells this year. They can also fire shells that burst high above the ground this time, with effects the organisers say you can both see and feel.
- Rides for the children. The mini-fairground is back.
- More to eat and drink. Refreshments are on sale from when the gates open, with more choice this year.
- Light rope necklaces to buy on the night.
Get there when the gates open at 5:45pm and you have over an hour for a hot drink and a look around before the display starts at 7:00pm.

With the 79p booking fee, a family ticket comes to £16.79 online, which is £3.21 less than on the gate. Adult and child tickets have a small booking fee too (at least 75p an order).
Why we’re shouting about it
We’ve supported Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School since 2024, including this year’s summer fair. The event is run by the Scout group and the school, and a night that gets neighbours out together and raises money for local children is worth telling people about.
